Sentara Health in South Boston, VA, seeks a Physical Therapist to assess, plan, and participate in rehabilitative programs aimed at improving mobility and reducing pain. The role includes providing patient and caregiver education and supervising care provided by the team.

The candidate will initiate and maintain collaborative interactions with internal/external teams to improve outcomes and will establish and update plans of care tailored to each patient.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Master's degree in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy required/preferred depending on role.
• Physical Therapy license required.

Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.

Education

• Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy (Required)
• Masters Degree in Physical Therapy (Preferred)
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy

Certification/Licensure

• Physical Therapy License (Required)

Experience

• Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures.
• Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training. Initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes.
• Productive and efficient in daily operations.
• Selects and performs the appropriate assessment procedures.
• Establishes and updates formal plan of care to address individual patient needs.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $103,376.00 - $149,115.20 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
