Job summary

Ascension Health in Milwaukee, WI seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to join the Rehabilitation department. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week with a Fri-Sun 8:00am-4:30pm schedule at Columbia Saint Mary's Hospital.

You will design recovery paths, deliver hands-on therapy, mentor PTAs and students, and partner with families to support the home transition, while benefiting from Ascension’s health coverage, retirement plan, PTO, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Wisconsin Physical Therapy credentialed from the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Examining Board before hire date.

Responsibilities

• Design Custom Recovery Paths: assess and translate data into patient-specific plans of care.
• Deliver Hands-On Therapy: provide direct PT interventions tailored to patient needs.
• Empower Families: educate and involve families in the journey toward home.
• Lead with Mentorship: guide PTAs, students, and support staff within the department.

• Design Custom Recovery Paths: Youâll perform initial and ongoing assessments, transforming clinical data into a dynamic, evolving plan of care that meets the patient where they are.
• Deliver Hands-On Excellence: Use your technical skills to provide direct therapy interventions, adapting your approach to the unique physiological and emotional needs of each patient.
• Empower Families: Recovery is a team effort. Youâll partner closely with patients and their families, ensuring they are educated, involved, and confident in the journey toward home.
• Lead with Mentorship: Serve as a clinical guide for PTAs, students, and support personnel, fostering a culture of excellence and shared learning across the department.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physical Therapy (PT) credentialed from the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Examining Board prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Drivers License preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
