Job summary

Ascension Health in Milwaukee, WI, seeks a behavioral health professional for part-time days at Ascension St. Francis Hospital. You will assess patients, set therapy goals, and deliver individual and group therapy while maintaining confidential records and guiding patients to community resources.

Role requires Wisconsin licensure/credentials and relevant education; collaboration with families, physicians, and providers is essential during treatment and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration from the Wisconsin Board prior to hire or transfer date.
• Counselor credential from the Wisconsin Board prior to hire or transfer date.
• Social Worker credentialing from the Wisconsin Board prior to hire or transfer date.
• Therapist credentialing from the Wisconsin Board prior to hire or transfer date.
• BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association preferred.
• Supervisor credentialed from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services preferred.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Conduct patient assessments and establish therapy treatment goals.
• Administer individual and group therapy.
• Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.
• Provide patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
• Work directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• One or more of the following required:
• Licensed Clinical Counselor credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Counselor credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Social Worker credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling & Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
• Supervisor credentialed from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services preferred.

Education:
