Job summary

ST. CHARLES HEALTH SYSTEM in Bend, Oregon, seeks a full-time Medical Assistant (Days) to manage daily patient flow, triage information, and support physicians across multiple departments. Requires a Medical Assistant certification and graduate from accredited program; relocation assistance for eligible external candidates.

BLS is required and travel to St. Charles sites is expected. The MA will assist with patient intake, charting, and coordinating care while upholding confidentiality and Lean

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Current MA Certification from recognized bodies (AMT/NCCT/AAMA/NAHP/NHA) and BLS certification.
• Ability to travel to trainings and all worksites of St. Charles Health System.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and prep for physician assessment.
• Record and maintain patient medical data in the medical chart.
• Assist physician with phone requests from patients and other medical professionals.
• Perform physician-requested ancillary and/or surgical procedures (excluding IV meds).
• Maintain equipment and supply inventory levels.
• Support the organization’s vision, mission, and Lean principles.
• Deliver customer service and patient care in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
• May perform additional duties of similar complexity as required.
