Job summary

St. Charles Health System Inc. in Bend, OR is seeking a Medical Assistant to support Family Care Clinic operations. The MA will manage daily patient flow, assist with triage, and help physicians with exams and procedures, ensuring accurate data collection and confidentiality.

This full-time position requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred MA program), MA certification, and knowledge of ICD-10/CPT coding; relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of ICD-10, CM/CPT/HCPCS coding conventions.
• Working knowledge of medical practice management information systems.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares for physician assessment.
• Records and maintains patient's medical data in chart.
• Assists physician with phone requests from patients and other staff.
• Performs physician-requested ancillary and/or surgical procedures (excludes IV meds).
• Maintains equipment and supply inventory levels.
• Delivers safe environment for caregivers, patients and visitors.
• Acts professionally and maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Delivers timely, accurate patient care and customer service.
