Job summary

St. Charles Health System in Prineville, Oregon is seeking a Medical Assistant to manage daily patient flow for assigned physicians. You will gather triage information, record medical data, and support physicians with patient care and communications.

The role does not supervise others and requires HIPAA compliance and strong professionalism. Required: High school diploma or GED; MA certification from AMT/NCCT/AAMA/NAHP/NHA or current Oregon EMT/LPN/RN license; knowledge of ICD-10 and practice

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.

Responsibilities

Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares for physician assessment.
Records and maintains patient's medical data in the chart.
Assists physician with phone requests from patients and other medical professionals.
Performs ancillary and/or surgical patient procedures as requested (excludes IV meds).
Maintains equipment and inventory of supplies.
Upholds organization values and Lean principles.
Provides a safe environment for caregivers, patients, and guests.
Maintains professionalism and HIPAA compliance in all activities.
Delivers timely, efficient patient care and customer service.
May perform additional duties of similar complexity as required.
