Job summary

The American Red Cross in Myrtle Beach, SC is hiring for a phlebotomy-support role that helps with the blood collection process. You will welcome donors, assist with setup, and ensure safety procedures while collecting lifesaving donations.

Starting pay is $18.36 per hour with paid training and comprehensive benefits. Prior customer service experience is valued, and you may drive to donation sites as part of the team. No prior medical experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting/pushing/pulling heavy weights, long hours and variable schedule; minimum height of 60 inches to operate vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Connect with donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Be detail-oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals and safety standards.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup/teardown at donation sites.
