Job summary

The American Red Cross in North Charleston, SC is seeking a phlebotomist to join a mission-driven team. Paid phlebotomy training is provided, with opportunities to grow healthcare skills within the nation’s leading humanitarian organization.

You will work to transport and set up equipment at donation sites, create a welcoming environment for donors, and ensure procedures meet safety standards while collecting lifesaving blood donations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights and long irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to connect with donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for volunteers.
• Be detail oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals and safety standards.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setting up and tearing down equipment at donation sites.
