The American Red Cross offers paid phlebotomy training and a role where you help collect lifesaving blood donations at community sites. You will work with a team to create a welcoming environment and ensure safety and quality in every collection.

Starting pay is listed at $18.62 per hour with benefits, flexible scheduling, and opportunities to grow your healthcare skills within the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights and adapt to long, irregular hours and schedule changes.
• All staff work as a team to setup and tear down the equipment required to conduct a mobile blood drive.
• Basic computer skills are required; must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to personally connect with donors and explain the impact of donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming, friendly environment for donors.
• Be detail-oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals and safety standards.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup/teardown at donation sites; some roles require 60-inch height for vehicle operation.
