Job summary

American Red Cross in Michigan is seeking a phlebotomy support role to assist with the blood collection process and donor experience. You will help transport and set up equipment at collection sites and maintain a welcoming environment for donors.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided, no prior medical experience required, with a starting rate of $19.38/hour. You must reside in Michigan in the listed eligible areas including Port Huron.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include lifting, pushing or pulling heavy weights; long hours and schedule changes may be required.

Responsibilities

• Take time to connect with donors and explain the impact of their donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Ensure blood collection meets goals and regulatory requirements for safe transfusion.
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and assist with setup/teardown at donation sites.
