Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a Phlebotomist Tech to join our Laboratory Draw Centers on a full-time day shift. The role leverages phlebotomy experience to collect blood, identify patients, and support specimen processing.

You will perform registration, labeling, processing, data entry, and act as a central lab communication point while ensuring specimen quality and timely reporting to referencing labs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples and correctly identify patients.
• Transport specimens and perform related clerical and computer functions.
• Register, order, proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for lab testing.
