Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples and correctly identify patients.
• Transport specimens and perform related clerical and computer tasks.
• Register, order, collect, label, process and distribute specimens for lab testing.
• Utilize computer programs for data entry and act as central lab communication point.
