Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho seeks a Phlebotomist/Central Processing Tech for a full-time, rotating/variable shift with differential pay for evenings, nights, and weekends. You will collect blood samples, identify patients, transport specimens, and handle related clerical and computer tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Effective communication with patients and hospital staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples and correctly identify patients.
• Transport specimens and perform related clerical and computer tasks.
• Register, order, collect, label, process, and distribute specimens for testing.
• Use computer programs for data entry and act as the lab's central communications point.
