Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona (SQL/LSA) seeks a Phlebotomy Supervisor to manage an assigned department and serve as a communication liaison with staff and Patient Services management.

You will assist, resolve, and report to the area Supervisor, performing advanced technical and administrative work while driving quality improvements and regulatory compliance across the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in phlebotomy/test management in a clinical laboratory.
• Ability to perform complex problem solving and leadership.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of regulatory, accrediting, and compliance requirements.
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• ADHS Fingerprinting Certification or ability to obtain fingerprinting certification for Mobile/Long Term Care placement.
• IOP placement requires execution of Confidential Information and Restrictive Covenant Agreement.
• May require a valid driver’s license and be eligible for company auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Act as initial resource and liaison between staff, other departments and Patient Services management.
• Assist, resolve, and report to and under the supervision of the area Supervisor.
• Perform all technical or administrative work at an advanced level of competency and efficiency.
• Actively involved in patient and process quality improvement while ensuring regulatory compliance.
