Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona (LSA) in Anthem, AZ is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to oversee a dedicated department, acting as liaison with staff and Patient Services management. The role focuses on quality improvement and regulatory compliance while guiding a team of phlebotomists.

You will lead process improvements, mentor staff, manage daily operations, and ensure accurate specimen handling and data entry within the LIS. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Education consistent with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years' experience in clinical laboratory phlebotomy/test management.
• Strong problem solving and leadership skills.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory, accrediting and compliance requirements.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes advanced knowledge in collection and receipt of specimens and proper data entry into the system.
• Supports quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance within the department.
• Coaches and mentors staff to improve engagement, safety, quality and production.
• Oversees daily department operations and staff scheduling, attendance, and PTO tracking.
• Participates in financial monitoring, supply usage, and staffing level adjustments.
