Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking a Phlebotomy Operations leader to plan, direct, and control all phases of off-site phlebotomy. You will supervise up to 40 technical employees, drive staffing, training, and performance reviews, and ensure high service levels.

Qualifications

• Education or experience consistent with an Associate’s degree in healthcare or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ of Phlebotomy experience.
• Ability to perform complex problem solving and leadership skills required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.
• IOP placement requires execution of “Confidential Information and Restrictive Covenant Agreement”.
• Placement in Mobile/Long Term Care department requires ADHS Fingerprinting Certification or the ability to obtain fingerprinting certification.

Responsibilities

• Selects, develops, and trains employees throughout the employee life cycle through timely selection, ongoing feedback, coaching/mentoring, and promoting continuing education.
• Oversees staffing levels with minimum overtime and tracks supply usage and orders; assists in budgeting operating and HR expenses.
• Ensures locations are functioning effectively and maintains service levels; promotes community relations and customer satisfaction.
• Identifies and resolves service issues using Six Sigma and Lean principles; champions safety initiatives.
• Coordinates facilities management for the unit through vendor negotiations and collaboration with account managers.
