Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Employer Solutions in Kansas City, MO seeks a Phlebotomist II Site Lead to draw blood and prepare specimens for lab testing in a patient-friendly PSC/IOP environment. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with 8-10 hour shifts and rotational weekends.

You will mentor staff, ensure accurate data entry and compliant handling of specimens, and travel to meetings as needed. Prior phlebotomy experience and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

Direct patient contact and blood collection experience preferred.
Ability to follow SOPs and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Collect specimens according to established procedures.
Data entry of patient registration and test orders; verify orders.
Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, splitting and freezing as required.
Maintain phlebotomy logs and charts; ensure accurate records and temperature logs.
Assist with scheduling, inventory, and general clerical tasks.
Ensure compliance with Safety Manual, Quality Assurance and SOPs.
Mentor and support new employees; act as on-site resource.
Communicate professionally with clients; resolve issues and document problems.
Assist with monthly statistics and data submission.
Travel to Territory Manager meetings or off-site events when needed.
Support special projects and team initiatives.
