Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities at the Patient Services Center or in-office as a PST. You will interact with clients, patients, and PathGroup staff, performing forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices and procedures.

The role emphasizes accurate specimen collection, patient comfort, data entry, and adherence to safety and compliance guidelines in a professional, courteous environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. (May be required based on state and laboratory guidelines.)
• Phlebotomist Certification is preferred. (Required in Louisiana).
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture process clearly and calmly to patients.
