Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Part-Time Patient Access Scheduler at Women & Babies Hospital in Lancaster, PA. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR Certification - AHA Basic Life Support, required within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience in a highly customer-oriented organization.
• 1 year experience with basic keyboarding, personal computer use, and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides complete and accurate patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, ordering of tests and coordination of screening, diagnostic, physician office and outpatient hospital services.
• Capable of coordinating and communicating effectively during increased volumes or with complex patients.
• Maintains required competency skills including phlebotomy, EKG, holter monitors, point-of-care testing and specimen collection.
• Documents all stages of specimen collection in required computer systems and maintains patient records.
