Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a patient services professional to manage scheduling, registration and insurance verification for a broad range of tests and services. You will coordinate workflows across ambulatory and hospital settings, perform phlebotomy and related procedures, and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record.

This role requires precision, teamwork and the ability to handle high volumes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Certification - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• One year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience.
• One year of keyboarding, PC use, and office equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides complete patient scheduling, registration, and insurance verification.
• Coordinates tests and services across ambulatory and hospital settings.
• Performs phlebotomy and related specimen collection in ambulatory settings.
• Documents all stages of specimen collection in required systems and maintains data integrity.
• Supports inbound/outbound calls and communicates with patients to relay important information.
