Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities in the PSC or in-office setting, under the supervision of the area supervisor. The role requires interacting professionally with clients and patients while performing forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing according to established procedures.

The candidate will handle data entry, coordinate with clients to verify orders and billing information, and maintain accurate records and logs

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately.
• Ensures all phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explains venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and calmly to patients.
• Disposes of biohazard fluids and contaminated sharps per laws and policies.
• Completes requisitions in PathConnect and other PathGroup systems.
