Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to perform daily patient service activities in the PSC or in-office PST role, under supervision. You will interact with clients, patients, and PathGroup staff while collecting and processing specimens following established procedures.

The position requires accurate data entry, adherence to safety and privacy policies, and ability to manage fluctuating patient flow with professional courtesy.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and PSC specimen collection according to established procedures.
• Accurate and timely data entry of patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers professionally.
• Ensures all specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Explains venipuncture and specimen collection clearly to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Maintains proper biohazard disposal and lab safety practices.
• Completes requisitions and enters data into PathConnect and other systems.
• Maintains daily records and PSC/IOPST logs.
• Performs basic clerical duties and electronic data entry.
