Job summary

You will interact professionally with clients and patients, performing venipuncture and other specimen collections following established protocols to ensure accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred (may be required by state guidelines).
• Phlebotomist certification preferred (required in Louisiana).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers courteously and provide friendly service.
• Collect specimens accurately and on time according to procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients and reduce anxiety.
• Dispose of biohazard materials per laws, standards, and policies.
• Enter patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into computer systems.
• Maintain daily records and PSC/IOPST logs.
