Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to support the PSC and in-office PST activities under the area supervisor. You will interact with clients, patients, and PathGroup staff, performing venipuncture and specimen processing with accuracy and courtesy.

Key duties include greeting clients, collecting specimens per procedures, completing requisitions, data entry, maintaining records, and supporting monthly statistics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. (May be required based on state and laboratory guidelines.)
• Phlebotomist Certification is preferred. (Required in Louisiana).

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and treats all customers courteously.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens and explains venipuncture clearly and courteously.
• Disposes of biohazard fluids or tissue in accordance with laws and policies.
• Completes requisitions accurately in PathConnect and/or other PathGroup systems.
• Performs data entry and communicates billing information accurately.
• Maintains required records and logs; assists with monthly statistics.
