Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to support the PSC and, when needed, in-office PST duties. You will interact with clients, patients and PathGroup teammates while performing specimen collection, processing and related tasks with accuracy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred. (May be required based on state and laboratory guidelines.)
• Phlebotomist Certification is preferred. (Required in Louisiana).

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately. Treat all customers in a courteous manner.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture steps clearly to patients while reducing anxiety.
• Disposes of biohazard fluids or tissue following laws and policies.
• Enters patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into computer systems with accuracy.
