Job summary

Concord Hospital in Concord, NH is seeking a phlebotomist to collect venous and capillary blood samples, register patients, and process specimen orders for laboratory analysis. The role supports patient care and requires excellent phlebotomy skills, with experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills required and expected.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and processes venous and capillary blood samples from patients of all ages for lab analysis.
• Performs patient registrations in the Hospital Information System.
• Places test orders in the Laboratory Information System.
• Provides customer service to patients and laboratory stakeholders.
• Adheres to corporate, departmental, and job-specific requirements.
• Assists in training phlebotomy students and staff on specimen collection and transport.
• Identifies problems and participates in QA/QI efforts within the department.
• Keeps up-to-date with new processes in registration/ordering.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
