Job summary

Concord Hospital in Concord, NH is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant to perform phlebotomy across all ages and to support specimen processing for laboratory analysis. The role requires adherence to safety, infection control, and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen guidelines while ensuring accurate handling of specimens.

Phlebotomy training and a strong interpersonal approach will help you thrive in a fast-paced setting with potential off-site travel for collections.

Qualifications

Phlebotomy training with an externship preferred.
Phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Clinical support experience in specimen processing preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to clients in a professional, compassionate manner.
Ability to perform in emergent or crisis situations.

Responsibilities

Obtains and processes venous and capillary blood samples required for laboratory analysis from patients of all ages.
Processes clinical specimens for delivery to laboratory departments and for pick-up by reference laboratories (when applicable).
Performs all duties within assigned work blocks.
Demonstrates compliance with corporate, departmental and job-specific requirements.
Assists in the preventative maintenance and disinfection within the Specimen Processing area.
Concord Site only: Travels to off-site locations for the purpose of phlebotomy collections.
Performs other duties as assigned.
