Job summary

Concord Hospital in New Hampshire seeks a Clinical Lab Assistant to perform phlebotomy and support specimen processing for laboratory analysis across patients of all ages. Under supervision, you will collect blood, prepare samples for transport, and follow all safety and OSHA guidelines.

Phlebotomy training with externship is preferred; prior healthcare experience and exposure to specimen processing are a plus. This position may involve travel to off-site locations for collections.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy training with externship preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Clinical support experience in specimen processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and processes venous and capillary blood samples required for laboratory analysis from patients of all ages upon request.
• Processes clinical specimens for delivery to laboratory departments and for pick-up by reference laboratories (when applicable).
• Performs all duties within assigned work blocks.
• Demonstrates compliance with corporate, departmental and job-specific requirements.
• Assists in the preventative maintenance and disinfection within the Specimen Processing area.
• Concord Site only: Travels to off-site locations for the purpose of phlebotomy collections.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
