Job summary

Natera is seeking an experienced Phlebotomist who will serve patients by selecting optimal blood collection methods and preparing specimens for testing, while also acting as an operations manager for the designated PSC. The role may include overseeing other phlebotomists to support patient volume growth.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, performing venipunctures, maintaining specimen integrity, tracking specimens, and reporting KPIs biweekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• 5+ years high-level customer care experience; managing/supervising phlebotomy operations and teams preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Phlebotomy Certification preferred depending on state.
• BS/BA degree preferred; previous financial and budgetary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies test requisitions and discrepancies with orders/documentation.
• Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture and finger sticks.
• Maintains specimen integrity using aseptic technique and proper procedures.
• Tracks collected specimens and logs times and counts; reports KPIs biweekly.
• Oversees PSC phlebotomy program and staff; may supervise other phlebotomists.
• Completes required HIPAA/PHI privacy and security trainings within 30 days.
• Ensures compliance with regulations; maintains safe work environment.
• May travel to stock supplies and assist with vendor management.
• Monitors draw statuses and supports program management and escalation handling.
