Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 6 months phlebotomy experience or 6 months lab accessioning experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and phlebotomy practices is essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively and use computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Extracts blood from patients using aseptic venipuncture techniques for all ages.
• Document patient demographics, orders, and specimen tracking accurately.
• Prepare and process specimens for testing, including labeling and centrifuging.
• Perform QA checks and donor screening per protocol.
• Ensure patient safety with proper identification and timely specimen transport.
