Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months phlebotomy experience or 6 months accessioning experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory processes.

Responsibilities

• Extracts blood from patients using aseptic venipuncture techniques.
• Document phlebotomy rounds with accuracy and timeliness.
• Enter demographic data and verify orders in Meditech.
• Prepare and process specimens: label, measure, aliquot, centrifuge, distribute.
• Perform quality EKGs and collect donor information per protocol.
• Package, transport, and ensure timely specimen delivery to the lab.
