Job summary

Qualifications

• 6 months phlebotomy experience or 6 months laboratory accessioning experience.
• High School diploma.
• Not Applicable licensure/certification.

Responsibilities

• Extracts blood from patients and performs phlebotomy procedures following aseptic venipuncture techniques.
• Document patient information and specimen details accurately and promptly.
• Verify orders and ensure specimens match Meditech entries and labels.
• Prepare, label, aliquot, centrifuge, and transport specimens to appropriate lab sections.
• Maintain donor and patient safety, using proper patient identifiers and universal precautions.
