Job summary

Seneca Healthcare District seeks a Phlebotomy Technician to assist in specimen collection and clerical tasks. You will perform venipuncture and capillary puncture, ensure specimen quality, and enter data into the LIS/EMR while upholding strict patient confidentiality.

Must hold a CA Certified Phlebotomy Technician license with preferred phlebotomy experience and basic computer skills for spreadsheets and processing. This is an on-site role requiring attention to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• AA degree preferred.
• CA State certification as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician is required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Computer spreadsheet and word processing skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture for patients.
• Enter tests requisition and billing information into the LIS/EMR.
• Accession, label, centrifuge, and distribute specimens.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA.
