Job summary

Emanate Health is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to perform venipunctures for adults and pediatrics, assist with specimen processing, and support clients to resolve specimen concerns. The role requires phlebotomy proficiency and strong communication skills.

Qualified candidates will have a California CPT certificate and BLS; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with prior hospital lab experience advantageous. This is a full-time position at our California facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques and medical/laboratory terminology required.
• Two year acute care hospital laboratory experience preferred.
• 1–2 years experience assisting in performing laboratory assays preferred.
• Ability to operate computer input terminal.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy techniques including blood cultures, finger and heel sticks.
• Communication skills to include fluent English.
• Typing and word processing skills required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Current California CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) certificate.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures on adults and pediatrics; micro collections on infants.
• Participates in data entry and specimen processing; communicates with clients to resolve concerns.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
