Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture with empathy per established protocols.
• Verify specimen requirements and link tests to appropriate reference laboratories.
• Enter test requisitions and billing info into the LIS/EMR; label and accession specimens.
• Prepare requisitions and specimens for transport to reference labs; verify complete testing manifests.
• Distribute reports and maintain filing, faxing, and HIPAA-compliant confidentiality.
