Summit Healthcare in Show Low, AZ seeks a Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomy support to ensure accurate patient test results through proper identification, labeling and specimen collection. The role involves loading specimens onto analyzers, coordinating with hospital systems, and maintaining a clean, compliant lab environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a lab or phlebotomy setting, basic computer skills, and CPR/BLS certification; phlebotomy certification is encouraged.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• CPR/BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• 1–2 years laboratory assistant or phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification is encouraged.

Responsabilidades

• Collects, processes, labels, and delivers specimens accurately.
• Executes invasive procedures, venous and capillary, efficiently.
• Records collection and receipt of samples in the computer system.
• Order Laboratory tests in the Laboratory system computer.
• Looks up test orders in Hospital system for problem solving.
• Maintains turnaround times on collections.
• Prepares drawing rooms and trays; stocks supplies.
• Packages and orders reference lab samples for shipping.
• Transmits orders for testing to reference lab.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and organizes the Laboratory.
• Performs basic duties of Laboratory System Coordinators in absence.
• Displays SHINE Behavior Standards and Patient Safety Standards.
• Loads specimens on automated track system and analyzers.
