Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona seeks a phlebotomist to collect and handle specimens across hospital, PSC, in-office, and mobile sites. You will enter patient data, prepare samples for testing, and ensure specimen integrity while maintaining HIPAA and quality standards.

Role requires phlebotomy certification, a state credential, and flexibility to travel across multiple locations; bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Excellent customer service and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent may be required per state regulations.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations.
• DHS Fingerprinting Certification or ability to obtain.
• Driver's license may be required depending on location and travel.
• Travel to multiple locations and coverage at mobile phlebotomy facilities/in-office sites.

Responsibilities

• Collect and receipt of biological specimens and proper entry into the computer system.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute to appropriate analytical area.
• Verify patient demographics, requests, and specimen integrity.
• Maintain quality by accurate documentation, adherence to procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Assist in billing and cost-reduction initiatives while ensuring patient service is not compromised.
• Communicate professionally with internal/external customers and maintain HIPAA privacy.
