Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist for the Paradise Hills Branch Lab. Schedule is Monday–Friday 0700–1100 with weekends and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen processing, and on-site patient interactions while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to immunization requirements. Minimum education is a high school diploma with potential apprenticeship for non-experienced candidates; ASCP PBT preferred and clinical lab

Qualifications

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibits basic problem solving skills to ensure customer and patient care service levels.
• Responsible for hospital communication responsibilities including on-call by location.
• Demonstrates effective telephone and verbal communication skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Participates in on-call coverage and holiday/weekend shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs Check-in, Order Entry, and reconciliation.
• General Phlebotomy including blood collection from ages 10 and above.
• Support Special Collections and external shipping certification.
• Assist provider performed procedures (e.g., FNA, Bone Marrow).
• Process specimens and manage storage and disposal.
