Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant Phlebotomist to work independently with minimal supervision at University Hospital. Compensation depends on modalities performed; apprenticeship available for candidates without experience. Regular attendance during scheduled hours is essential.

Responsibilities include patient communication, clerical tasks, and on-site support across holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed. HS diploma required; ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• PBT ASCP or equivalent certification.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program.
• Eligible to work in a healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain supplies and inventory for department.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Provide effective communication with clients and coworkers.
• Participate in on-call coverage during scheduled hours.
