Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories invites applications for the Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist at University Hospital. This hourly-position role supports phlebotomy and lab operations with on-call duties and potential apprenticeship for inexperienced candidates.

Rigorous training and hands-on experience in specimen collection, processing, and clerical tasks are provided. The schedule includes evening and weekend coverage; excellent benefits accompany employment with TriCore.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Completion of a relevant Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibits basic problem solving to ensure customer and patient care service levels.
• Responsible for hospital communication responsibilities including on-call duties by location.
• Demonstrates effective telephone and verbal communication skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of information.
