Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist for University Hospital. The role requires performing phlebotomy and related lab duties with on-call, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Apprenticeship pathways available for candidates with no prior experience. Minimum education includes a high school diploma or equivalent; preferred certification as PBT (ASCP) and completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant program.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Candidates with no experience may be considered for an apprenticeship.
• Preferred: PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• Completion of a relevant Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and order entry reconciliation across modalities.
• General phlebotomy (ages 10+) including collection procedures.
• Specimen processing, storage and delivery for testing.
• Maintain supplies and inventory; assist with on-call coverage and documentation.
