Job summary

Labcorp is a leading provider of diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Springfield, VA team, working Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, in either a Patient Service Center or client office.

You will perform venipuncture, collect specimens, and ensure accurate data entry while delivering exceptional patient service. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, with preferred experience, strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, Phlebotomy certification/training from an accredited agency required.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime.
• Able to pass a color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
