Job summary

Labcorp in Fairfax, SC is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, provide exceptional customer service, and work in either a Patient Service Center or client office.

Responsibilities include data entry, processing billing, preparing specimens for testing, and maintaining logs. A high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training are required; color vision testing is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3+ months experience.
• Must pass a standardized color-blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
