Job summary

Labcorp in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections, provide excellent patient service, and support data entry and billing processes in a healthcare setting.

The role is based in a Patient Service Center or Client office with a typical 8:00am–5:00pm schedule and occasional Saturdays. PT experience and strong communication are valued for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
