Job summary

Labcorp in Centreville, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, provide exceptional service, and be the face of Labcorp in the clinic or service center.

This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule 8:30am–5:30pm, requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training, and may involve ongoing opportunities for growth and a quarterly incentive plan based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is required.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Flexible to work overtime as needed.
• Able to pass a color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
