Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a part-time Phlebotomy Screening Technician to support plasma center operations in Fresno, CA. The role involves donor screening, phlebotomy, and using the Donor Information System to maintain donor charts and compensation records.

You will work with a focus on donor safety and service, including accepting flexible shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays while complying with glove protocols due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Environment requires standing/walking for full shift.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays possible.
• Lifting up to 5 lbs and occasional heavier lifting up to 32 lbs (rarely 50 lbs).
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens; glove wear required for most tasks.
• Experience in customer or patient-facing role helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors, focusing on donor safety and service.
• Screen donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System to prepare donor charts and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement approved changes.
• Maintain flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
