Job Description:

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is the face of our company to patients, drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing. This role involves direct patient contact, requiring the creation of a trusting environment and the explanation of procedures. The PSR II demonstrates leadership, process excellence, and maintains confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information. Responsibilities may include work at a doctor's office, patient service center, or other locations as needed, performing daily activities accurately and maintaining a professional environment. The role includes verifying patient demographics, maintaining records, and promoting a positive image.

Job Requirements:

1. Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
2. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
3. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
4. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
5. Adherence to policies, safety, and dress code.
6. Good judgment and decision-making skills based on established procedures.
7. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record if applicable.
8. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations.
9. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
10. Superior customer focus and effective communication skills.
11. Training location may vary.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience:

• At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
