Job Title: Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative

Contract Details

• Duration: 6 Months
• Pay range: $18 - $21/hr
• Location: Middletown, CT
• Work Type: Onsite, 1st Shift - Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm & every other Saturday

Job Description

The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR I) is the face of the company to patients, drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and explaining procedures to patients. The role requires demonstrating leadership, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy.

Responsibilities

1. Perform daily activities accurately and timely under supervision.
2. Maintain a safe, professional environment.
3. Collect and process specimens following established practices.
4. Maintain records and documentation.
5. Promote a positive image and organizational commitment.

Requirements

• Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).

Experience

• Minimum 6 months of experience.
• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
