Job summary

Labcorp in Upper Marlboro, MD seeks a Phlebotomist to join our Patient Service Center. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, collect specimens for drug screens and tests, and provide outstanding patient service while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and flexibility to work overtime. Pay ranges from $17.75 to $26 per hour with PST incentive plan eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other Duties as assigned.
