Labcorp in Edgewater, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist to join a Patient Service Center. The role involves performing skilled blood collection, specimen processing, and exceptional customer service. The schedule is Monday through Friday with alternating Saturdays.

The position offers benefits and opportunities for growth. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and either phlebotomy certification or relevant training. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Travel to additional sites as needed, reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned
